Sync music: dumbest interface EVER

I am a software engineer and web designer/developer, so I think I understand computer systems. But the iTunes's got to be the suckiest piece of code written; I hate to say that, but I have fonder memories of Microsoft code, early Windows Media Player versions.

Here is my beef: how the hell do you put the songs you like in your iPod, using somethings that is FOLDER like? What's up with the retarded need to 1) go through ALL you songs (I have thousands), clicking on that tiny winny swaure next to them to select them 2) create a NEW PLAYLIST (why the f*&** ?????) 3) add the songs to the playlist !!!!! 4) SYNCH the playlist to your IPOD.

And then, if by mistake the play list is bigger than your iPod's capacity!!!!! NOOOOO then it just CAN'T SYNCH IT.

I am simply speachles. My girlfriend says it's easier to use on Apple.

Now, I am stuck because I have a 1/3 of my iPod full, I am leaving in a couple of hours for a week down south, and I don't know how to fill the remaining 2/3 randomly without loosing the original 1/3.

Seriously! Is it only me? and the couple of other people on this blog? How can the rest of the world not see how bad this software SUCKS?

I am not buying an iPod ever, not to me, not as a gift, EVER.
